Because the business has stayed in the family, every job still carries our name and our reputation. Here is what that means for you when you need a roof done properly. So instead of a call-centre passing your job to a subcontractor, you deal directly with the same family that's roofed this area for decades. As a result, you get straight answers, fair pricing and workmanship that's built to be checked on, not just signed off.

Common Questions

Everything homeowners ask us before booking roofing work.
Do I need a roof repair or a full replacement? +
It depends on the age and condition of the roof. A few slipped or cracked tiles and localised leaks are usually a straightforward repair. But if the covering is nearing the end of its life, the battens or felt have failed, or repairs are becoming frequent, a re-roof often works out better value long-term. We'll survey it honestly and tell you which makes sense — we won't sell you a new roof you don't need.
Do you offer emergency roof repairs? +
Yes. Storm damage, slipped tiles and sudden leaks can't wait, so we prioritise emergency call-outs across Hoddesdon, the Lea Valley and wider Hertfordshire. Get in touch for a free quote and we'll make the roof safe and watertight as quickly as we can.
How long does a new roof last? +
A well-installed tiled or slate roof can last 50 years or more, and natural slate often longer still. Lifespan depends on the material, the quality of the workmanship and ongoing maintenance — all things a traditional, properly built roof gets right from the start.
What is the best material for a flat roof? +
For most homes we recommend either high-performance felt or single-ply EPDM rubber, both of which give a long, reliable, low-maintenance life. Traditional mastic asphalt is also excellent for the right job. We'll advise the best system for your roof, its size and how it's used.
Do you provide free roofing quotes and surveys? +
Always. We'll visit, inspect the roof properly and give you a clear written quote with no obligation and no hard sell. It's the only way to price roofing work fairly.
Why choose a family-run roofing firm? +
Because our reputation is personal. As a three-generation family firm we're accountable for every job, we use traditional techniques and quality materials, and we're still here year after year to stand behind our work.
